The need for clean air
Zehnder Groep: the need for clean air
Clean air is essential for human beings. Keeping air at the recommended quality level is quite a task particularly in built-up areas. The consequences of polluted air are becoming increasingly apparent. For example, building material corrosion caused by damp and an increase in the number of symptoms of illness. Air pollution must be prevented and polluted air must be cleaned or replaced by clean air. Irrespective of the solutions used, good ventilation is also necessary. Zehnder Groep designs system designs and products to control the air quality in buildings (residential and non-residential buildings). This is done in such a way that the users' comfort and good health are guaranteed and such that the outside environment is preserved as much as possible. They also have systems that recover heat that is lost through ventilation. These heat recovery devices were designed for use in balance ventilation systems in residential buildings. These systems extract polluted air from one's kitchen, toilet and shower and add clean air from outside to one's living room and bedrooms. Zehnder Groep does all this based on its "Seventy-Four, Brighten up your life" vision. One spends 70% of one's time within 4 walls. So one's indoor climate should be clean and comfortable!
J.E. Stork Air WHR 930
A role in the latest generation of Zehnder Groep equipment has been reserved for Timmerije. Timmerije produced, for example, a number of complex components for the new WHR 930. André Scholten of Zehnder Groep said: "The polypropylene electronics slide for the WHR 930 is a fine example of synthetics technology. Besides being a large product, it is also a complex product with various special details. They ensure, for example, that the product is released from the mould with various hooks and eyes. This was ingeniously solved by Timmerije using a kind of "schuif-in-een-schuif".
Own design
Zehnder Groep usually designs its own products: their designers then looked for efficient and innovative solutions together with the suppliers. André Scholten: "For our type of products, airtightness, for example, is very important, as is the ease with which the component can be assembled and put together with other parts of the product. A lot of attention is therefore given to airtight connections (labyrinth seals) and snap connections that must prevent the use of screws or rivets. Timmerije supports us using the expertise of their specific discipline. Together, we intensively look at the processes to achieve the best final result".
