Objective of ISO/TS 16949
The objective of ISO/TS 16949 is to stimulate continuous improvements, minimise variation, decrease waste and prevent mistakes. Just like ISO 9001:2000 the general objective is the introduction of thinking in process through which the quality of the conduct of business develops.
The environmental declaration of Timmerije states the following:
- Timmerije will provide for the fulfilment of government environmental regulations. Timmerije will to the best of its ability actively contribute to realising the objectives of the (local) government in the field of the environment.
- Good and open contact regarding environmental issues will be maintained with the (local) government and people living in the neighbourhood.
- In the performance of all its business activities, Timmerije will to the best of its ability implement the best technical and economically responsible measures and provisions to keep any adverse effects to the environment to a minimum. Important environmental aspects relating to the injection moulding activities of Timmerije are noise, energy consumption, waste and water.
- The best possible prevention and management of environmental hazards and the continuous improvement of environmental protection will at all times be a point of attention in the business operations of Timmerije.
- Each employee is cognizant of the environmental policy of Timmerije and acts according to it. The environmental policy is available to third parties and is periodically evaluated for appropriateness and up-to-dateness.
